How long does a roof replacement take?

Do I need to be home during the work?
Usually not, since a roof replacement is done from the outside of the home. It helps to move vehicles out of the driveway before work starts.
What happens if the decking is damaged?
Damaged decking is replaced before the new roof is installed. Decking cannot be fully inspected until the old roof is removed, so the amount needed is confirmed during the tear-off.
Will my insurance pay for a new roof?
